Another character who can beat Goku is Zeno and he is within the Dragon Ball universe. Goku may be able to destroy planets but Zeno is the one that destroyed six universes alone all by himself. Zeno could instantly erase Goku.

The ages that Goku and Aang both go on their quests are completely different. While both characters do begin their series at the age of twelve, Avatar ends before we can ever see much of adult Aang. Goku, on the other hand, is shown completely grown-up and married with kids by the end of the Dragon Ball series.

Goku's too quick for Aang to even touch him. So practically Aang is useless against Goku.
Yeah Goku would be way to fast for Aang to touch him, plus he could follow him where ever he goes by sensing where he was. So even if Aang uses Earthbending to go underground, Goku would still know exactly where he was. So Goku would easily win. Ssj2gohan 21:58, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

Aang definitely does not have enough power to contain goku, a saiyan with enough power to destroy a planet without even trying. there is no way he would be able to drown goku, as goku could easily escape the water and destroy aang

Aang is cool and all. And he is powerful. But realize the characters in Avatar compared to the characters in DBZ are nothing. Master Roshi with a PL of 139 could blow up the moon. And Piccolo with a PL ranging 300-408 was able to blow up moon with one ki blast. Aang in his Avatar State at his absolute peak has not displayed one sign of ever containing half enough power to blow up the moon. Not at all. Nothing Aang can do can destroy the moon. Except killing the moon spirit but that doesn't count. SO anyway Goku could destroy the entire Universe if he wanted to. While Aang can't even blow up the moon. So yeah.... do the math. Goku wins Aang has a 0% chance.

Do I REALLY need to explain...
If Aang could do chi blocking, he could beat Goku. First, Aang would have to close all of the energy flood gates, or something, inside of Goku's body. Then Goku would turn back to his base form and would be unable to use ki based attacks. If Aang did that, Goku would'nt stand a chance.

Goku would win no contest but goku would only choose to spar with aang. Even if they did fight we all know Goku's nature. He would let aang win by giving up.

Aang wouldn't be able to touch Goku to take away his ki (even thought that probably wouldn't work, since ki isn't an element). But let's just say that under some miraculously impossible circumstances Goku somehow gets his ki taken away. Goku, with his bare hands, not even in super saiyan form at all, just in base form with no ki, could lift what? 20 tons? In Dragon Ball he moved (with HIS BARE HANDS) a rock the size of a large hill, about the size of a rock that Aang would Earth Bend (if not bigger). Anyway, in DBZ, he's progressed way past that. Goku is slammed through skyscrapers and he's unharmed. Aang gets hit with a rock that's nowhere near the size of a skyscraper, and he's almost dead. I realize he's in the avatar state. Frieza throws a rock the size of a football field (I'm American. American football field) and Goku seems fine after being smashed by it. Need I say more? I've never known any Z fighter to be held down by the elements. I like Aang but Goku could dominate in his base form.
Sure Aang in his avatar state is extremly power, but Goku can do SOOOOOOOO........many attacks in his FPSSJ state. I mean Aang could damage Goku if Goku only used physical attacks. But if Goku used Energy based attack as well as physical attacks, Goku would HUMILIATE Aang or outright kill him. Goku would kick Aang's tattooed ass. MAYBE Aang would have a chance back during the King Piccolo Saga of Dragon Ball, but other than that, no way. Post Ginyu Saga, not even Superman could beat Goku. I'm not saying this because Goku's my favorite hero or anything, he's not, I'm just being realistic.

Yes, Superman. The biggest display of strength Superman has ever shown was pushing the position of the moon. Cell states that he's capable of destroying the entire Solar System with his energy alone. According to Superman The Movie, even with his super speed he can't fly fast enough to stop two missles that were launched through the air, while Raditz can move faster than the speed of light. Besides, Superman can't use energy blasts or anything except laser vision. He's also been knocked off his feet by run of the mill criminals while DBZ characters don't even seem to react when struck by them.
Once again, I'm not trying to start a flame war or put down anyone, I freaking love Superman, I'm just stating the facts.

He then destroys all of them except for Azula, whom she then convinces Aang and co. to help her defeat this threat (this story line is so crap, just bear with me). Aang and his friends then meet Goku and without hesitation quickly attack. Goku then goes on to incinerate everyone except Sokka (he was hiding behind a tree). Sokka then throws his Boomerang at Goku and knocks him unconcious. THEN Sokka goes on to eat Goku and the Avatar world is saved once again by Sokka...The End :)
