An inflammation of the middle layer of the eye (uvea). Most eye floaters are caused by age-related changes that occur as the jelly-like substance (vitreous) inside your eyes becomes more liquid. Eye floaters appear as small spots that drift through your field of vision. Eye floaters are spots in your vision. Eye floaters are tiny specks or strings that float into your field of vision. Eye floaters are specks in a person's vision.
