I usually listen to both friends separately first. Then I try to explain each person’s point of view to the other, without judgment. My goal is to make them understand, not to decide who is right or wrong.

The key is neutrality. If you take sides, one person will feel betrayed. Instead, focus on common ground like “You both care for each other”. Encourage them to talk directly and remind them why their friendship matters.
