How do you make group chats more meaningful?
I always try to start conversations that everyone can join. Instead of only sharing memes, I ask questions like “What’s one good thing that happened to you this week?” or “Who has a new recommendation for a show?” This way, the chat feels less like random noise and more like real connection.
Group chats usually die when only one or two people talk. To keep it meaningful, we set small traditions. For example, every Friday, we all share a funny story from the week. Sometimes we also use the chat to plan meetups instead of endless online talk. It keeps the purpose alive.
Meaningful group chats come when people respect each other. I mute groups where members fight or spam. But I stay active in groups where we support each other—like sharing job opportunities, study tips, or just checking in on someone’s health. Balance between fun and care is key.
