Have you come across a platform, filled with so many pictures about designer clothing, DIY crafts, gleaming posters, creative photographs, and so much more? Did you get any clue? Come on!

Ok, let me help. You may be wondering “Etsy” but “Pinterest” it is.

See how they are in close proximity with one another, and because of this, You can sell on Etsy and let your buyers shop on Pinterest.

If you already have an Etsy shop, you must be well aware of how important it is to get traffic from Pinterest. Now, traffic generation is not something that you can make just by a mere existence on a single podium.

To grab those like-minded people for your creation, you ought to promote Etsy on Pinterest and drive enough sales to your store.

You must have asked these questions multiple times by now if you already. Let us help you with the reasons & answers. For driving traffic, you need to market your shops on different social media dais, and what better platform could be there other than Pinterest

But before we go any further, DID YOU KNOW that your ability to grow your business and increase your profits depends on how much of your business you can automate? Our Shopify to Etsy Integration app allows you to automate just about everything in your day-to-day sales process. Check out the app and START your 7-day FREE TRIAL today!

It is a virtual pin-board and a platform for sharing images. You can pin (share and save) and re-pin (re-share and save) images on this platform. Pinterest is as popular as Instagram with millennials

Now let’s answer your question

As mentioned in a previous blog, more than 80 % of Etsy shoppers are female, and according to a survey, it was found out that 60% of Pinterest users are also female.

Well, there you have it. Now you can see why Etsy and Pinterest are such a pizzazz. To get traffic from Pinterest, promoting your Etsy shop or marketing your shop is a beneficial step.

Pinterest is a source of organic and targeted traffic. Your pins related to your listed products will drive the most relevant traffic to your shop. Hence it is one of the best ways to promote online.

Know the fact that Pinterest audience is buyers as well.

Majority of buyers made a purchase after seeing the product on Pinterest. Moreover, a survey suggests that 83% of users on Pinterest follow the brands they like and not celebrity accounts. Hence, it’s clear that the intent of the majority of Pinterest users is to shop.

Let’s see how it all works with an example. Say, when the prospects search for “Handmade Christmas Ornaments” on Pinterest to get ideas about what to wear on Christmas celebration. Pinterest will come up with all the results on the handmade category. Among those results, you will surely find the items from the Etsy marketplace, as handmade products are the niche for Etsy you need not take any extra efforts to market your products on Pinterest.

Pinterest audience is curious and has a knack for unique collectibles; these items can be furniture, showpieces, gifts, home decors, or anything you can think of. They are very much into art and craft, and Etsy is a platform for artists who create things. What other wholesome reason do you need as to why you should promote your shop on Pinterest.

In case you have an Etsy shop with items for men, and you do feel cornered on Etsy because of its huge female audience, then let Pinterest establish some equality there. Since, 40% of the Pinterest audience is reported to be male, which is far more than what we have on Etsy. You will be getting much more male traffic from Pinterest than Etsy search can provide.

According to another Pinterest’s survey, 98% of the users have tried something new that they found on the platform, which clearly shows that Pinterest influences a lot of buyers. If you look at the rankings of Pinterest and Etsy, you’ll find a fine line between the two. Pinterest accounts for about 42% of the social traffic on Etsy. This huge traffic reference makes Pinterest an important platform to market your Etsy Shops.

Etsy has been dominating the Pinterest world. Etsy has got the most number of repins leaving all other sites far, far behind.

If you are still confused about whether you should promote your Etsy shop on Pinterest or not, here’s the biggest reason why you should.

Well, the traffic that you will generate over Pinterest can be directed to any other channel apart from Etsy. Hence, if you are someone hoping to sell through multi-channel selling in future, promoting your current shop on Pinterest and generating traffic on to your Pinterest account is not going to be a waste at all. Specially, if you can manage you maintain your traffic with consistency and right promotional practices.

Pinterest will also allow you to do competitive research and generate new ideas for your shop as well as listings.

Another benefit that you can reap from Pinterest is mining keywords from the platform. This will help you get found on Etsy more often. You might ask why Pinterest? Well, because it has specified searches from the audiences, and these searches can be your keywords.

You can even search in the Etsy Pinterest section. In a specific category, you can see the most searched subcategories that can be used as keywords. Plus, you can also draw ideas from different pins as to what keywords are used for their descriptions.

Pinterest is a sturdy platform to drive a mega mass of organic traffic to your Etsy store hands down.

Now that you know that promoting your Etsy shop on pinterest can be a potential game changer for your business. Let’s talk about how to get started. Trust me, it’s not rocket science and with a little bit of practice, you will be playing like a pro in no time.

The basics of getting started

A business account on any social media platform provides you with the insights of each of your posts. Through these insights, you can draw out which posts and pins are performing better, and you can further plan your pins according to the ideas. The insights also help you to know more about the trends and what’s popular among the audience.

It’s okay if you have a personal account on pinterest, you can update the same one as your business account. Just make sure you do not have existing content on your account that is irrelevant to the target audience for your Etsy shop. If you want to skip the audit, just go on and create a fresh new one.

Once you’re done with creating your account, complete your profile. Again, nothing too difficult, just make sure your name resembles your shop name, and within the description you have added relevant keywords to attract your target audience. Don’t forget to put a link to your Etsy shop.

What are boards? Simply put, boards on pinterest are just like any other bulletin board, but virtual. These will help you categorise your pins. Boards can be presented in many ways.

Make sure each board has a clear, distinct, and a specific name. Next, add a description to your board. Make sure that you use keywords as naturally as possible. Lastly, assign a category to your board and save it.

For starters, pin every listed item in your shop on relevant boards. Apart from that, you can create diversity on your boards by pinning other pins as well.

Pro Tip: It’s better to have a large number of boards with fewer pins than to have few boards with a large number of pins.

You can also divide pinboards into sections if you have a wide variety of products.

For example, if you sell clothes, you can create a board named fashion clothing and then divide it into sections like Dresses, Hoodies, Trousers, or whatever you sell.  Each of your sections will create more relevance.

By claiming your Etsy shop on Pinterest, you can expand your reach of target customers and also gain a momentum of reference traffic to your store. After creating your account, go to Pinterest setting and click on Claim in the dropdown. Follow the instructions afterwards.

Other than Etsy shop, you can also claim your Instagram Store as well as the YouTube handle of the shop with Pinterest.

Etsy has an official account on Pinterest as well. They feature sellers through their pins regularly.

The shops which are promoted directly by Etsy have a significant chance of driving organic traffic that can lead to the sale of their products.

There are a total of 36 pinboards on which Etsy updates pins regularly. Some of these boards are further divided into sections

These are created so that the users can directly view what they want to, instead of searching for it endlessly and getting frustrated. Etsy knows that a significant percentage of buyers do visit Pinterest before making any purchase.

Directing them to what they are searching for, is a way how Etsy itself promotes the sellers.

If you are thinking, why does Etsy need to this? The answer is, it benefits Etsy big time, the more sale is made through Etsy’s platform, the more it earns; also Etsy can attract more craft and vintage sellers on its platform through Pinterest.

Etsy pinning your stuff means fat chances of you to get noticed broadly. To make Etsy pin your things on their board, you will have to take notes of the critical points.

Etsy has 36 pinboards, and some of those pinboards are divided into sections, as well as mentioned above. Check out all these boards and the sections they are divided into. This will help you to make notes that your items can be included in which board or its section.

If your item is categorisable in any particular section, observe the keywords used for the pinned item’s name and description.

You can use a similar frame of description and pin name. This will increase the probability of your items being pinned by Etsy itself.

Etsy also re-pins other’s pins. Follow those pinners and take ideas from their pins. It will help you surface up more. Having your own Pinterest account is a plus point, as Etsy can directly repin your pins instead of picking them up from the site.

The pictures that are pinned or repinned by Etsy are mostly natural and don’t give off any marketing or promotional vibe.

You should try to shoot these kinds of pictures if you want your stuff to be pinned or re-pinned by Etsy. Following these steps can increase the probability of your items to be pinned or re-pinned by Etsy.

Pinterest is not just a podium for traffic generation; it is pertinent for Etsy marketing as well. You must not underestimate Pinterest. With apt tactics, you can use it for wide-range marketing.

You can make a chunky earning just by selling on Etsy if you follow proper marketing and promotion methods.

Pinterest is one of the best platforms for promoting your Etsy products.

Let’s look at a few reasons advertising Etsy products on Pinterest is a great idea:

Pinterest ads allow you to reach people most likely to have an interest in your products.

Most Etsy shoppers fall between 25-54 years old. The breakdown is as follows:

To add to that, 67% of these shoppers are women.

So, how does this stack up with Pinterest?

Well, Pinterest reaches 83% of all women who are 25-54 years old. So, as you can see, Etsy and Pinterest cater to the same audience, making these two platforms the perfect match.

By using Pinterest ads for your Etsy shop, you’ll reach people interested in your products.

If people haven’t heard of your Etsy shop, Pinterest serves as an excellent opportunity to introduce them to it. When you run Pinterest ads, you put your brand in front of shoppers within your target market.

Even if they don’t click on your pin, they’ll still get exposed to your brand and products.

This brand exposure will lead people to remember your brand if they see it again later and increase their chances of engaging with your pins.

Did you know that 61% of Pinterest users have purchased a product after seeing it in a Promoted Pin? Pinterest is a hub for garnering ideas and gaining exposure to new products. When you use Promoted Pins, you get your products in front of more shoppers, which helps you earn more conversions.

If you want to earn more sales, Pinterest is the perfect environment for you to do that.

After seeing all the reasons to invest in Pinterest ads, you’re probably eager to start promoting your products through this platform! A successful Pinterest Ad campaign needs a strong Pinterest presence, though.

So, before you dive into how to use Pinterest for Etsy, make sure you have:

Get a walkthrough for each of these steps, below:

If you don’t have a Pinterest Business profile, you need to set one up to advertise on the platform.

You can visit Pinterest’s Business site to sign up for an account.

Once you set up a profile, you must fill it out completely. You’ll want to build a Pinterest profile that’s like your Etsy shop. The branding should be identical to your shop so that you can create brand consistency.

Make sure you fill out your profile completely. Add your brand name, a link to your Etsy shop, and a short description of your shop. You’ll also want to add an icon and background photo to your page that reflects your brand.

The important part is that you remain consistent with your business profile. That way, if someone clicks on your brand name in the ad and visits your Pinterest profile, they’ll get a consistent feel for your brand.

After you set up your Pinterest profile, you’ll want to claim your Etsy profile. Claiming or linking your Etsy profile allows you to get access to website analytics and help people find where they can discover more of your content.

So, how do you claim your Etsy shop?

First, start by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner of your feed.

After clicking on these dots, you’ll see a drop-down menu. Select “Edit settings.”

In your settings, you’ll see a menu on the left-hand side. Select “Claim.”

On this page, you’ll see the option to claim your Etsy profile. By claiming your profile, you add your name and profile to Pins from your Etsy shop.

By following these steps to claim your Etsy website, you’ll ensure that you get credit on any pins you post.

The easiest way to promote your Etsy products on Pinterest is by taking content you already posted and advertising it. To do that, you need to have content pinned to your profile.

Before you start running Pinterest ads for Etsy, you need to create boards for different types of products you offer. You’ll want to create multiple types of boards and fill each one with content from your Etsy shop.

For example, let’s say you have a jewelry shop on Etsy.

If you’re creating Pinterest boards, you can create boards for your:

You can break down these boards even further.

You could compile your necklaces into different boards like:

Creating these more refined boards allows you to attract people looking for specific types of products. It’s always better to have multiple, specific boards with a few products pinned to them, rather than having a broad category (like necklaces) and pinning every possible piece to it.

By creating Pinterest boards, you’ll create a pool of content you can use for your Pinterest ads.

Now that you have your Pinterest presence established, it’s time to start running Pinterest ads!

We have a video to help guide you, as well as written information below.

Follow these steps on how to sell Etsy products on Pinterest:

If you want to know how to get Etsy sales from Pinterest, start by choosing the right pins. Typically, you’ll want to select pins that are already performing well. If you just started pinning and haven’t seen which pins perform best, you can start by promoting pins with products that sell well in your shop.

Pinterest allows for numerous types of promoted ads. You can choose from formats like:

These are your three main options when it comes to promoting your products. For Promoted Pins and Promoted Video Pins, you can pull the content straight from pins you already have. If you want to know how to promote your Etsy shop, start by picking your pins to begin advertising your product.

When advertising Etsy products on Pinterest, you need to choose a goal for your ad.

Pinterest offers three primary objectives for your business:

To promote your Etsy shop on Pinterest, choose the ad objective that fits best with what you want to achieve with your ad.

If you want to know how to get Etsy sales from Pinterest, you must start by targeting the right people. You won’t see success with your campaign if your ads aren’t in front of interested shoppers.

You can target people by:

By targeting the right people, you can reach Pinterest users that are most likely to take an interest in your products.

When you advertise your Etsy products on Pinterest, you need to set a budget for your campaign.

Pinterest offers two types of budgets:

So, how much should you set for your budget?

To set your budget, you need to know how much it costs to get leads from your ads. The average cost per click (CPC) or cost per impression (CPM) depends upon the goal. Let’s look at the average cost for advertising on Pinterest:

If you want to know how to promote your Etsy shop effectively, you need to set a budget. Once you set your budget, you can move on to choosing your ad placement.

Your ad placement determines where people will see your ad. You have three options:

After you choose your placement, you’ll select your keywords. Keywords allow your pin to appear in targeted, relevant searches. Pinterest allows you to pick both interests and keywords to help your ad appear in front of the right people.

Interests are broad categories, like art, food, or sports. You can target these categories so when people browse or search in these categories, they have the potential to see your ad.

You can also target keywords. Targeting keywords allows your ad to appear in search results that matter to your business. You’ll reach more people with an interest in your Etsy products.

Once you complete all the information for advertising Etsy products on Pinterest, you’ll launch your ads and start driving people to your shop!

If you want to know how to get Etsy sales from Pinterest ads, check out these four quick tips!

Want your ads to stand out from other pins?

Try using unique images or videos to draw people into your ad.

Find distinctive ways to present your product to your audience. Whether you test different angles or put your product in a unique setting, you have numerous options for displaying your photos or videos to your audience.

People will take notice when your pin doesn’t look like the others. It’s a great way to draw people into your Etsy products on Pinterest.

Since Pinterest is a visual platform, you’ll want to spend some time picking the right visual for your ad campaign. If you want to know how to get Etsy sales from Pinterest, start by trying different visuals for your ads.

First, you’ll want to test different formats. See if photos perform better for a product than video pins.

You’ll also want to experiment with different types of photos and videos to see what generates interest. For pictures, you can try using images of just the product or people using the product. As for videos, you can try creating a video of the product at different angles or of someone using the product.

Testing different ad visuals will allow you to make the most of Pinterest ads for Etsy.

If you want to know how to get Etsy sales from Pinterest, try creating fun and engaging pins.

Let’s look at Zola as an example.

In this Pinterest ad, Zola creates a chart where you make choices that help you decide if you need a “dramatic” or “low key” website for your wedding. It’s interactive and fun, which gets people to engage with the pin.

When users click on the pin, it directs them to Zola’s site to compose their perfect wedding website.

It’s interactive, fun, and gets people to engage with their content.

You can use this example for your pins. By making creative and interesting pins, you’ll get more people to interact with your content.

When you’re running Pinterest ads for Etsy, you can build brand exposure. If you want to take brand exposure to the next level, add your brand name to your pin photo.

That way, if someone sees your photo, they will see your brand name in your photo and at the bottom of the pin. It’s a great way to gain double exposure for your business and ensure people don’t miss your brand name.

As an Etsy store owner, you’re busy running your storefront, handling orders, and creating your products. With so much on your plate, it’s challenging to find time to run a Pinterest advertising campaign.

There are a few key things to keep in mind when optimizing your pins and boards for Pinterest SEO:

– Use high-quality images: Pinterest is all about visuals, so make sure that the images you use are clear and eye-catching.

– Use keywords: Pinterest is a search engine, so be sure to include relevant keywords in your descriptions and tags.

– Link back to your Etsy shop: Be sure to include a link back to your Etsy shop in every pin, so that users can easily find it.

Let’s dive into how to do each one of these steps. By the end of this post, you will know everything you need to feel confident promoting your Etsy shop on Pinterest and increasing your sales on Pinterest!

To optimize your Pinterest profile for your Etsy shop, you need to add keywords to your Pinterest name and description. You want to add these keywords to your name and description on your Pinterest profile so you can be found in Pinterest search.

You can see below how I have optimized my profile by adding keywords to my name and description on my Pinterest profile.

Yes, you should most definitely create and Pinterest Business account for your Etsy store on Pinterest. Pinterest Business accounts are free and easy to set up.

A Pinterest Business account gives you access to Pinterest Analytics, which is an amazing tool that allows you to track your Pinterest activity and see what’s working well for your Etsy shop on Pinterest.

For specific instructions on how to create a Pinterest business account for your business, read my post on How to Create a Pinterest Business Account: The Ultimate Guide to a Pinterest Business Profile.

You should create your Pinterest account in your business name if you are using it primarily to promote your business and your Etsy shop. If you will be pinning your Etsy products to your boards, I suggest creating your Pinterest account in your business name.

You can also create a second account as your personal account in your own name if you want to pin and repin things that are not specific to your business’ niche.

Most Pinterest marketers have both a Pinterest Business account and a personal Pinterest account.

If you don’t already have a Pinterest account for your Etsy shop, then you need to create one! Creating a Pinterest account is free and easy. You can sign up for a Pinterest account here.

Once you have created your Pinterest account, be sure to complete your profile by adding a profile picture, description, and website.

In your profile description, be sure to include relevant keywords for your Etsy shop. Pinterest is a search engine, so you want to make sure you are including keywords that people will use to search for your products on Pinterest.

For example, if you sell handmade jewelry on Etsy, then some relevant keywords you may want to include in your Pinterest profile description are: “handmade jewelry”, “sterling silver jewelry”, and “boho jewelry”, etc.

Your Pinterest profile picture should be your Etsy shop logo. Your Pinterest profile is an extension of your brand, so you want to make sure that your Pinterest profile picture is consistent with your other social media accounts and your Etsy shop logo.

If you don’t have a logo for your Etsy shop, then I recommend using Canva to create one. Canva is a free online design platform that anyone can use to easily create professional-looking graphics.

Your Pinterest profile description is where you want to include relevant keywords for your Etsy shop. Pinterest is a search engine, so you want to make sure you are including keywords that people will use to search for your products on Pinterest.

For example, if you sell handmade greeting cards on Etsy, then some relevant keywords you may want to include in your Pinterest profile description are: “handmade cards”, “greeting cards”, “stationery”, etc.

You also want to include a call-to-action in your Pinterest profile description telling people what you want them to do. For example, you may want to include a call-to-action such as “Visit my Etsy shop for handmade cards” or “Follow me on Pinterest for daily inspiration”.

Your Pinterest profile description should be clear, concise, and keyword-rich. And don’t forget to include a call-to-action!

Be sure to include a link back to your Etsy shop in the website section of your Pinterest profile. This is important because you want to make it as easy as possible for people who find your Etsy shop on Pinterest to be able to click through and visit your shop.

Now that we’ve covered how to optimize your Pinterest profile for your Etsy shop, let’s move on to creating boards!

Pinterest boards are where you save or “pin” images on Pinterest. You can have as many boards as you want on Pinterest, and you can name them anything you want.

Pinterest boards can be about anything you want. For example, I have a board on my Pinterest account called “Pinterest Pin Canva Templates” where I save all of the images from Pinterest pin template products.

You want to make sure that your Pinterest boards are relevant to your Etsy shop and products. You also want to make sure that you are using keywords in your Pinterest board names and descriptions so that you can be found in Pinterest search.

When creating Pinterest boards for your Etsy shop, you want to make sure that they are:

– Relevant to your Etsy shop and products

– Named with keywords so you can be found in Pinterest search

– Filled with high-quality images

– Linked back to your Etsy shop

You want to create multiple boards for each type of listing that you have so you can pin to all of these boards each time you add a new listing to your Etsy shop.

For example, if you sell handmade jewelry on Etsy, then you may want to create Pinterest boards such as:

– Handmade Earrings

– Handmade Bracelets

– Handmade Rings

– Handmade Necklaces

If you sell digital products on Etsy, then you may want to create Pinterest boards such as:

– Printable Wall Art

– Wedding Invitations

– Birthday Party Printables

– Baby Shower Printables

Make sure that your Pinterest boards are relevant to your Etsy shop and products, are named with keywords so you can be found in Pinterest search, and are filled with high-quality images. And don’t forget to link back to your Etsy shop in each Pinterest board description!

Now that you have created your Pinterest business account for your Etsy shop and optimized your Pinterest profile and created boards, it is time to claim your Etsy shop on your Pinterest account.

Go to your Pinterest account settings to claim your Etsy shop and connect it to your Pinterest account.

To do this, go to Pinterest.com and click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Then, click on “Settings”.

In the left-hand column, scroll down and click on “Claim”.

Then click on “Etsy” and link your Etsy shop to your Pinterest account.

Claiming your Etsy account on Pinterest ensures that Pinterest attributes your Etsy listings back to you when someone else shares your listings on Pinterest.

This means that whenever someone saves your Etsy listings to their Pinterest boards, your Pinterest profile information will appear next to it. This aids in the discovery of more of your work and your Pinterest profile.

Claiming your Etsy account also gives you access to Pinterest analytics for your Etsy listings. With Pinterest Analytics, you can see how people are interacting with your Pins, which can give you valuable insights into what is working well and what needs improvement.

*AS OF FEBRUARY 2022, PINTEREST NO LONGER ALLOWS YOU TO CLAIM YOUR ETSY ACCOUNT ON PINTEREST*

Read the explanation below!

Pinterest has made recent updates to the platform in early 2023, and we are seeing a shift in the relationship between Pinterest and Etsy.

It used to be possible to claim your Etsy, Instagram, and YouTube about on Pinterest, but now all of these claim options are gone.

You are still able to claim your website on Pinterest. I do not believe they will ever take away claiming your own website, because that would diminish the actual point and reasoning for the creation of Pinterest.

Now that the Claim button is gone on both desktop and mobile versions of Pinterest, it is safe to say Pinterest does not want us claiming our Etsy accounts anymore.

I was a little unsure of why Pinterest decided to take away the Claim Etsy button, so of course, I reached out to my BFFs at Pinterest Help. This was his response:

“We’re always trying out new things behind the scenes at Pinterest. What you’re experiencing is expected behavior. While we can’t go back to the old format, we truly appreciate your feedback on this experience.

I’ve passed it along to my team, and we’ll be sure to keep it in mind as we continue to build out new features and improve the current ones.”

This is the same response that I got when I asked about the original Pinterest default cover image layout being taken away. 😳

The old default cover image on Pinterest was an automatic collage of all of your pins.

Everyone loved this default cover because it highlighted your pins on your profile. If you are missing this automatic option, have no fear.

I created a Canva template for Pinterest’s default cover image collage.

➡️ GRAB MY PINTEREST DEFAULT COVER IMAGE TEMPLATE ⬅️

Since Pinterest is no longer supporting the connection and claiming of Etsy accounts on the Pinterest platform, I would not worry about it if Pinterest failed to connect to your Etsy.

I always follow Pinterest’s best practices, and if Pinterest no longer supports this option, there really isn’t anything that we can do about it.

My advice? Move on and continue your pinning schedule as normal!

Now that you have optimized your Pinterest profile for your Etsy shop and created Pinterest boards for your Etsy shop, it’s time to start creating pins!

A pin is an image that is added to Pinterest. Pins can be saved from websites and blogs, or they can be created within Pinterest.

Pins that are saved from a website will have a URL attached to them, while pins that are created within Pinterest will need to have the URL added to them at the bottom of the pin.

Pins can be saved to different boards on Pinterest. For example, you may have a board for pins of your handmade jewelry, so you can pin your pins about handmade jewelry to that specific board.

You can also add a description to each Pinterest pin. The descriptions can be up to 500 characters long, and they should include keywords that are relevant to the image.

Etsy does allow you to post directly from your Etsy listing to Pinterest, but I do not suggest using this format as your sole form of creating pins for your listings on Pinterest.

Etsy listing photos are landscape size and ratio which is not the ideal image size to use for your pins on Pinterest. Nonetheless, below is how you can create pins from your Etsy listings if this is something you would like to do.

To create a Pinterest pin from an Etsy listing, start by going to the listing that you want to create a pin for.

Click on the Share button, and then click on the Pinterest icon.

A new window will open, and you will be able to choose what board you want to save your pin to.

Again, this is a super simple way to pin your listing to Pinterest if you do not want to do any work or create any pins specifically on Pinterest.

I do not suggest using this as your sole strategy on Pinterest, but it is an option.

The Pinterest “Pin It” button is a Pinterest browser extension that allows you to pin images from websites to your Pinterest boards without having to go to the Pinterest website.

The “Pin It” button can be added to your web browser, and once it is installed, you will see a “Pin It” button on each image that you hover over on Etsy.

The issue we find with pinning your pins directly from your Etsy shop is that the image sizing is not within Pinterest best practices and you are also not able to change the title and description of your pin.

The title and description for the pin will be pulled directly from Etsy. This is not always the best case because most of the times people change their descriptions to add more keywords and phrases to their pin descriptions before pinning them.

The best way to promote your Etsy shop on Pinterest is to create customized pins for each of your Etsy listings to pin on Pinterest.

You can use Pinterest to drive traffic to your Etsy shop by creating pins that are high-quality, have great descriptions, and are pinned to the correct board.

Keep in mind, when people click on your pin, they will be taken directly to your listing on Etsy.

To create pins for Etsy items on Pinterest, you will need to create pin images for each one of your pins that include your Etsy listing photos to highlight your products.

The easiest way to create images for your pins is by using Canva.

You also need to write a Title and a Description for each of your pins. Your title and description for your pins should include keywords that are relevant to your image and Etsy listing.

You will also need to choose which Pinterest board you want to save your pin to. Once you have created your pins, you can start pinning them on Pinterest!

When creating pins to promote your Etsy shop on Pinterest, it is important to remember a few key things…

Pinterest wants you to create vertical images for your pins. Creating vertical images will also increase your screen real estate for your pins.

The best sizes for Pinterest pins are 1000x1500px and 1080x1920px.

In addition to creating pins for your Etsy listings, you can also create:

– Pins for blog posts that you have written about your Etsy shop or products

– Pins for products that have been featured in the press

– Teaser images for upcoming sales or new product launches

– Collaborations that you are a part of

By creating a variety of different types of pins, you will be able to reach a wider audience on Pinterest and increase traffic to your Etsy shop!

The general rule of thumb is to pin at least every single day. The amount of pins that you post each day is different for every account and also depends on how many Etsy listings you have in addition to blog posts about your products.

If you are new to Pinterest and just want to get your feet wet, I suggest aiming for 1-3 daily pins on your Pinterest account.

If you are more experienced with Pinterest or social media marketing you can aim for many more pins per day. It all depends on how many pins you have time to create and schedule.

HOT TIP: You NEED to be using a Pinterest scheduling tool to be able to pin that many times per day.

You can also repin other people’s pins that are relevant to your niche as well! Pinterest is all about sharing content that is valuable and interesting to your audience.

The Pinterest algorithm LOVES when you have multiple boards on your Pinterest profile because it shows that you are an expert in your niche. I recommend having at least 12-15 boards on your Pinterest profile.

If you have different products that you sell, I recommend creating Pinterest boards for each product category. For example, if you sell jewelry and clothes, you would create a Pinterest board for your jewelry and a Pinterest board for your clothes.

This will help you to be more specific with the pins that you are creating and save people time who are looking for a specific type of product on Pinterest.

There is no magic number when it comes to the number of pins that you should have on each board.

I recommend having at least 30-50 pins on each board so that people who are looking at your boards will see that you are an expert in your niche and have a lot of valuable content to share!

Yes! You should definitely be linking to your different Pinterest boards on your different Etsy listings. This will help people who are looking at your listing to find more content that they might be interested in and help you to drive traffic to your Pinterest account!
