Another tip: you don’t actually need to carry a printout of the appointment slip. A screenshot on your phone is fine—they just scan the QR code at the counter. Makes life easier!

Booking an Aadhaar appointment online is pretty straightforward now: 1. Go to the official UIDAI website. 2. Under My Aadhaar, click on Book an Appointment. 3. Choose your city/center from the dropdown. 4. Enter your Aadhaar number or mobile to authenticate. 5. Select the service you need (new enrollment, update, correction, etc.). 6. Pick a date and time slot, then confirm. You’ll get a confirmation slip that you should carry when visiting the Aadhaar Seva Kendra.

I booked one recently for an address update. The online system works smoothly, but note that not all Aadhaar centers support online appointments. In smaller towns, you may still have to walk into a nearby bank/post office center. If your city is listed, definitely book online—it saves a lot of waiting time.
