How to check sent request on instagram?
As someone who manages multiple IG accounts, here's a quicker way I use:
- Go to your profile and tap "Followers"
- Search for the person you think you've sent a request to
- If you see "Requested" instead of "Follow" button, that means your request is still pending
The method through Settings is more comprehensive because it shows ALL your pending sent requests in one place, but the profile search method works if you're looking for a specific person. Remember, Instagram doesn't notify you when someone accepts your request - you just see they've moved from "Requested" to "Following" in your followers list. Kind of annoying, but that's how it works!
Checking your sent follow requests on Instagram is easy! Here's how:
- Open Instagram and go to your profile
- Tap the three-line menu (hamburger icon) in top right
- Select "Settings"
- Go to "Account" → "Follow and invite friends"
- Tap "Follow requests" → here you'll see both "Pending" (requests you've received) and "Sent" (requests you've sent)
The "Sent" section shows all the follow requests you've sent that haven't been approved or declined yet. Once someone accepts or declines, they'll disappear from this list. You can also cancel pending requests from here by tapping "Cancel" next to any username.
