How to check service tag of dell laptop?
On Dell laptops, the Service Tag is usually a 7-character alphanumeric code printed on a sticker at the bottom of your laptop or inside the battery compartment. Just flip your laptop and check.
If you’ve lost sticker and don’t want to use commands, go to Dell’s support website, it automatically detects your laptop and shows the tag.
In BIOS settings also, you can find the Service Tag. Just restart your laptop, press F2 while booting, and check under system information.
Mine had no sticker due to wear and tear. I found it by checking Settings → About → Device Specifications. Works too, though only for newer Dell machines.
You can also get it via software. On Windows: - Press Win + R, type cmd. - In Command Prompt, enter: wmic bios get serialnumber It will display your Dell Service Tag.
