How to connect 2 pc via lan cable?

It is simple, really. You just need one LAN cable. A normal one is fine. Plug one end in the first PC. Plug the other end in the second PC.

Then, you need to set the IP addresses. On PC 1, go to network adapter settings. For IPv4, use IP 192.168.1.1. The subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0.

On PC 2, you do the same. But you must use a different IP, like 192.168.1.2. The subnet mask is the same.

Finally, make sure network discovery is on. Then you can share files.
