How to deactivate auto debit in axis bank?
You can cancel this through your internet banking or the mobile app. Simply log in and find the 'Standing Instructions' or 'Scheduled Payments' section. From there, you can select and deactivate the relevant payment. Alternatively, you can visit your local branch to submit a formal cancellation request in person.
Visiting the branch works too. Fill out a cancellation form for the mandate, submit it, and within a few days the auto-debit will be disabled.
Always cancel auto-debits a few days before the next due date, otherwise the payment might still go through before the cancellation is effective.
Customer care can also help. Call the helpline, verify your account, and request mandate cancellation. They will process it for you.
On the Axis mobile app, go to services, open debit mandates, and select the one you want to cancel. Once you deactivate it, future payments will not be deducted.
