Yesterday Today and Tomorrow (Brunfelsia pauciflora) is that stunning shrub with flowers that change color! I've grown one successfully for 5 years:

It's a tropical plant that needs protection from frost. Plant in well-draining, acidic soil enriched with organic matter. It prefers partial shade - morning sun with afternoon protection is ideal.

Water regularly to keep evenly moist but not soggy. Fertilize with acid-loving plant food in spring and summer. Prune after flowering to maintain shape. It flowers on old wood so don't prune heavily in winter.

The flowers emerge purple (yesterday), fade to lavender (today), then white (tomorrow) - all on the plant simultaneously! The fragrance is incredible, especially in evening.

It's moderately fast-growing and makes a beautiful container plant in cooler climates. Protect from strong winds which can damage the flowers.
