How to recover text from word document?

Had this happen to me with an assignment 😭. If you deleted text and saved over it, use "Previous Versions" in Windows (right-click file → Properties → Previous Versions). It restores an earlier snapshot of the file. Saved my neck once!

If it’s a Microsoft Word crash situation, open Word → File → Open → Recover Unsaved Documents. Windows usually autosaves temporary versions, and you can pull them back. Also, check the folder: C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\UnsavedFiles.

Worst case scenario, you can try third-party recovery tools like Recuva or Stellar Data Recovery. They scan the disk for remnants of older versions of the document. Works if the file was deleted or corrupted, but not guaranteed.
