— Are there any means that we can gracefully shutdown the Cisco WLC? In CMX and MSE we have the options to do that by : cmxctl stop and msed .

First save the config on WLC. There is no shutdown tab or option like pretty much every other Cisco device have. Just save and pull the plug. It will be just fine. :).
