Is it safe to travel to kashmir now 2022?

I was worried too before I went. But I visited Srinagar and Gulmarg. It was very beautiful. You will see lots of army people everywhere. This is normal there for security. The main tourist places felt safe for us.

My advice is to stay in the main tourist areas. Do not go to places near the border. Our local guide was a big help. He knew where to go. You should check the US travel advice website for official news. For me, I felt safe and had a very good time. It is a special place.
