The game mechanics and roles of some characters are different since it was created at the beginning of the franchise.

It has a simple game system.

The game has some problems.

The Password system shows that there are a lot of cards that can only be exchanged for 999,999 Stars, as some are not even offered after winning in Duels. It's almost impossible to get that many Stars since one to five are earned per Duel.

The original version of the PocketStation peripheral made it easier to get these cards. This form was completely eliminated when the compatibility for outside the Japanese territory was eliminated.

A rating is obtained when a Duel ends with the player winning.

It is easy to know the characteristics of the cards the opponents use, such as the first Guardian Star and the ability to summon monsters with 3000 ATK.

If it coincides with a player's monster with the same or lower offensive parameters, it will be put in Defense position, which can be used by the player on his next turn.
