Knowing when ACT scores come out can help you get organized when applying to colleges. Students can typically expect to receive their ACT scores about 10-24 days after their test date.

Having your score is important for general college admissions, but it can also be used to qualify you for dual enrollment and scholarships.

What is considered a good ACT score for you depends on which colleges you're trying to get into. The higher your score, the better. In general, aim for a score that is above the 50th percentile.

When ACT scores are released depends on your test date. Because the test is taken on a Saturday, results usually come out on a Tuesday.

While it normally only takes 10 days for ACT Inc. to release scores, it can take longer depending on your test date.

Typically, it only takes 10-24 days for students to receive their results. However, scores for the essay portion are released around two weeks after the multiple-choice portion. This is because two trained readers manually score the ACT Writing section.

While you can manually send your results to universities, it's best to have your scores sent automatically. You can choose schools to send your scores to when you register for the test. Colleges typically receive ACT scores 2-8 weeks after your test date.

Don't be worried if you don't receive your scores within the normal timeframe. It can take up to eight weeks for ACT scores to be released (though this is uncommon).

In some states and school districts, students may take the ACT during a school day. ACT scores are typically released in 10 days. However, ACT results for school day test-takers may take a bit longer — around three weeks. Just like with standard scoring, the results may be delayed up to eight weeks.

If your results take more than three weeks to arrive, don't bug your school counselor. They might send the tests off, but they have no control over when the results appear online.

ACT State and District Testing is also offered on a schedule, with multiple potential test dates in the fall and spring. Check with your high school counselor for more information on your school's ACT testing schedule.

ACT scores are posted once per day at 12 a.m. Central time — that's 10 p.m. Pacific time, 11 p.m. Mountain time, and 1 a.m. Eastern time.

If results don't appear at that time, wait until the next day or week to check. It is common for ACT scores to take extra time to show up. ACT Inc. should also send you an email when your results are available to view online.

Test-takers can find their ACT scores on MyACT. You need to use the login you created when you first registered for the exam.

Once you are logged into your account, click "Your Test Dates and Scores." Then, choose "View Scores." From there, you should be able to see your results.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to identify whether where you want to fly is in airspace that requires unlocking, the two different types of geofencing DJI uses, and what to do to unlock each one of them.

Here’s our YouTube video, but if you’d prefer to read through this guide, please scroll below:

Start by using DJI’s Fly Safe Geo Map to see whether the area in which you want to fly is located in a geofenced “zone” that will require unlocking.

To do this, enter the address of the location where you want to fly in the search box in the top left of the interactive map that appears on the Geo Map page, and then click on the area to populate the geofencing zones in the location where you want to fly.

Quick note: Make sure to check off the “Warning Zones” and “Enhanced Warning Zones” boxes below the map to make sure all of the geofencing information relevant to your mission will be included in your search.

Once you input the location where you want to fly, you’ll notice color-coding indicating the different kinds of geofencing zones that cover the area (these colors correspond with the “DJI GEO Zones” you see listed horizontally below the map in the screenshot above).

Red zones indicate restricted areas, which require a Custom Unlock. We’ll walk you through how to request a Custom Unlock in the next section.

Gray zones indicate areas with altitude restrictions and are usually found near airport runways. Due to safety reasons, these restrictions cannot be turned off.

Blue zones indicate areas where flying is risky but up to the discretion of the pilot, and may be flown after completing a Self Unlock. We’ll walk you through how to perform a Self Unlock in the next section.

Yellow zones indicate areas where flying is potentially dangerous but does not require any unlocking (these are those Warning Zones and Enhanced Warning Zones areas). When taking off in these areas, a warning will be shown to pilots along with a request for the pilot to take responsibility for flying in the area by checking a box.

As we’ve already noted, there are two types of unlocking you can perform on your DJI drone: a Self Unlock (associated with blue zones) and a Custom Unlock (associated with red zones).

Self Unlock zones can be unlocked fairly easily by clicking through a series of steps, while Custom Unlock zones require proof of authorization (via LAANC or other documentation, such as a COA).

A Custom Unlock requires proof of authorization for flying in the restricted area and can only be requested via DJI’s website. Make sure to secure your Custom Unlock before you go into the field—don’t arrive on-site and expect to get a Custom Unlock right away.

Before you start the process listed below, make sure to secure authorization to fly in the area where you are requesting a Custom Unlock, since you’ll need to present this authorization to DJI in order to have your unlock request granted.

[To learn more about how to get airspace authorization see this step-by-step resource we created.]

Self Unlock can be done either before you fly or while you’re at the location where you plan to fly. Here’s how to do each one.

*Depending on the area, in order to trigger the Self Unlock prompt while on location you must have internet access (which means you won’t be able to do Self Unlock using an iPad that does not have internet access).

**You may need to perform a CSC maneuver to trigger the Self Unlock prompt to appear. If the prompt is not appearing, try doing a CSC maneuver to trigger the prompt.

Pro Tip: Although DJI documentation says that Self Unlock only works on a desktop browser, if you are in the field and only have an iPhone you can use Safari to do a Self Unlock by clicking the share button at the bottom of the screen, then selecting “request desktop site.” Doing this will allow you to do a Self Unlock on the DJI Self Unlock webpage while in the field.

Hat tip to Chris Council of C2 Photography for sharing the pro tip above as well as several other key points that helped improve this guide. Thanks Chris!

How to fly dji in restricted zone?

Answer

It’s a simple process that you can accomplish yourself. Solvent cement is relatively inexpensive and can be a great aid in joining PVC pipes and fittings.

If you’re going to join PVC pipes and fittings with a watertight seal, you’ll need to learn how to use solvent cement.

CPVC resin, stabilizers, and fillers dissolve in a mixture of solvents to make solvent cement. We use these solvents for two things: to prepare the surface of the pipe and fitting and to dissolve CPVC resin.

When you apply the solvents, the top layer of the pipe and fitting material softens and dissolves. An interference fit between the pipe and the fitting is created by a taper in the fitting socket. When the two pieces join, the material might fuse to itself.

These fused joints contribute to the system’s long-term durability, pressure rating, chemical resistance, and safety.

Because the cement binds the parts together, once it dries, it’s tough to separate or remove them. It’s far easier, in the long run, to carefully apply the cement than it is to remove it.

Solvent cement is often a proprietary mixture of solvents, stabilizers, and fillers mixed with resin. Resin is the basic raw material of plastic. The amount of resin in a solvent cement determines its viscosity. The viscosity increases as the percentage of resin increases.

The viscosity of the solvent cement determines how well it can fill gaps within the joint it is bonding. In general, you can categorize solvent cement viscosity into 3 types:

When it comes to thermoplastic piping installation, the phrases “glue” and “solvent cement” are frequently interchanged. Although both achieve the immediate purpose of linking pipes and fittings on a basic level, they are not the same.

Glue, regardless of the type of adhesive, can only hold materials together. This means that if a significant enough force is applied to the attached area, the bond will be broken and the joint will deteriorate.

As a result, glue is an unstable option for plumbing. The chemicals in some glues can deteriorate or weaken the piping material. Therefore, glue is not a suitable solution for joining PVC together. Solvent cement is far more reliable in PVC plumbing applications.

To be perfectly clear, solvent cement is not a type of glue. But we don’t mind if you call it that. Just make sure to apply it properly. Otherwise, your plumbing is going to leak and cause flooding or water damage to your home.
