As funny as he is, Hades is just as bad. He is the master of the Underworld and the God of the Dead. He is envious of his brother Zeus, the leader of the gods, because he has fire instead of hair. He wants to be the king of the gods, but he needs to kill his brother, Hercules, to do that.

He has two imps named Pain and Panic, and Meg, a girl who belonged to Hades, but luckily for her, he gets rid of this burden.

The Underworld was granted to Hades by Zeus. Zeus and the other deities were unaware that the Underworld and its work were hated by Hades.

Because of this, Hades is scheming to take over Mount Olympus and rule it himself. Although powerful in his own right, Hades is not as strong as Zeus and can't overthrow him alone. The most notable example of this is the fact that Zeus imprisoned the TITANS, a group of beasts and creatures, in Greece.

The lackeys of Grief and Panic are used by Hades in the Underworld.

The two are used as punching bags by Hades because of their incompetence and fear of him. Despite his failures and lies, Hades seems to have a lot of faith in the imps, as he continually sends them out with various tasks and quests, most of which are important.

Both metaphorically and literally, Hades is impetuous and very much so. His hair and skin on fire retain a calming blue color when he is relaxed or animated. Her hair and face turn red and orange when he gets angry.

Mount Olympus is where Hercules' name was sung. The gods are not happy to see him. After greeting them, Hades tried to put a pacifier in baby Hercules's mouth.

He almost makes it, but then the baby grabs his finger, causing him to drop his pacifier, and he begins to insult Hercules under his breath. After Zeus failed to cheer him up, he left in pain. He left the Underworld to plan his takeover of the other deities after being humiliated by his brother. The Fates have arrived before they reveal that they are waiting for him, so Grief and Panic are asked if they have arrived. He was angry that his people had not told him about his plan to take Mount Olympus.

They tell him that when the planets align eighteen years later, they will lead to victory and power for him, and that he will unleash the hideous Titans. If Hercules intervenes, everything will go wrong.

Since Hercules doesn't drink the last drop, he conserves his divine strength and uses it to defend himself when Sorrow and Panic try to kill him. Grief and Panic cover up their failure by saying that they killed Hercules.

He met a girl named Megara who sold her soul to him to save her boyfriend's life. The boy leaves Meg for another woman, breaking her heart, and leaving her in the hands of Hades. Since then, Meg has been working with the god of anger, Hades, to rule the land of Olympus, though she has no other choice, often mocking the god's temper with a sarcastic quip. Years later, Meg is sent by Hades to find a new recruit. This backfires when Hercules intervenes.

When he learns that Hercules was still alive, he takes matters into his own hands. He emerged from the monster's claw after being tricked by Meg into a contest to face the Hydra. Megara was sent to seduce Hercules after an army of monsters failed to defeat him.

Megara falls for Hercules on their next date and forgets about the mission because he said that he has no weakness when he asked.

Hercules is tricked into giving up his strength for a day to trick Megara into giving up her weakness for Meg's safety. Hercules agrees with Hades that Hercules won't interfere and that he will be free from the tyranny of the Titans. Zeus and the other deities were imprisoned by Hades and the throne fell into his hands.

Meg was severely injured when a pillar fell on her during the attack on Hercules. This breaks the promise of Hades that Meg wouldn't get hurt. Hercules goes to Mount Olympus, where he defeats the Titans and foils the invasion of the other side. Meg died of her injuries, and the Fates cut her life thread, so she was claimed by Hades as her final reward.

Hercules broke into the Underworld, subdues Cerberus, and demanded that he return Meg to him. Hercules was told by Hades that he can't get Meg back. In exchange for Meg's, Hercules offers his soul in exchange for hers, and Hades sees the deal as too good to be true. He decided to accept the condition that Hercules had to retrieve it himself.

It isn't until Hercules plunges into the River Styx that Hades knows that Hercules will be dead before he can reach Meg. The Fates tried to cut Hercules' life, but they couldn't. Hercules becomes a god because of his heroic sacrifice. Hercules carries Meg's soul from the river.

After being punched by Hercules, who then threw him into the river, Hades tried to speak to him again, but he was overwhelmed by the souls trapped within and dragged into the depths. It's not known what happened to him after that, although Grief and Panic suggest that he may be trapped inside the river for a long time.

When the thanks to the staff are shown, the voice of Hades says that everyone has a happy ending except him. He asks if anyone is listening and if he is talking to someone.

The animated series shows that Hercules was still alive when he was 18 years old, contrary to the film canon, which shows that Hades was unaware of his existence until he was dead. Hades tries many plans to destroy Hercules and take over Olympus, plans that include exposing the other gods to the water of the River Lethe the Lake of Oblivion, causing everyone to forget their original roles and leaving him free to take control, diverting the River Styx. towards Greece or by killing Zeus when he became temporarily mortal to prove something to Hercules. He is summoned to Mount Olympus frequently for work-related matters after all of these transgressions have been forgiven.

The witch Hecate is shown to have a poor working relationship with those in his service, and she frequently attempts to take over the Underworld below him. When they threaten to take it away, he seems protective of the job, despite his attempts to leave the Underworld.

In one episode, he and Aladdin's arch-enemy, the late Jafar, tried to defeat each other's enemies.

They did not always get along. He thought of Jafar as a monster because he hated his puns and laugh. The evil plans backfired when they underestimated the value of Hercules' strength and Aladdin's wits, and the two of them teaming up to stop Hades and return to the Underworld.

In "Hercules and the Tapestry of Fate", the existence of the Tapestry of Fate is messed with by Hercules and Icarus, allowing him to create an alternate reality in which he is the king of the world. Zeus becomes the Lord. They got into a fight at the end of the show, with reality unraveling after Hercules destroyed the tapestry that bound reality, and Hercules getting tickets to a canceled concert that he had previously been unable to obtain.

Hades is calm and collected. Though his machinations are cruel, Hades' casual approach to villainy makes him a broadly comedic character with a brand of irreverent, self-aware humor.

The most famous trait of Hades is his uncontrollably hot temper, which is partly at surface level. Sometimes the smallest annoyances can push Hades over the edge, causing fiery attacks and extreme damage to the area and people around him. This quality makes him a feared figure in Greece and beyond, especially in the eyes of his enemies, Sorrow and Panic.

The older brother is no match for his brother. He makes up for his lack of strength with cunning.

He waited eighteen years to attack Mount Olympus because he was so careful about what he did. He is analytical and saw Hercules' strength firsthand, so he knew that his niece could cause trouble with his plans, but he tried to eliminate the problem immediately.

In addition to his own knowledge, Hades uses quackery to get what he wants, acting like a sleazy car salesman. Even so, he is an honest god and keeps his part of the deal no matter what.

Hades is willing to give people second chances, as he assigns Pain and Panic important tasks despite his failures. It is implied that he is sympathetic to Megara, as he is willing to free Meg if she helps him win the war.

When reminded of how she ended up being her prisoner, Hades called Megara's ex-boyfriend a "disgust" and implied that he was disgusted by what he did after Meg saved him.

In the Kingdom Hearts video game series, Hades is part of Maleficent's group of villains and he never had to depend on her, perhaps because he is a god.

It is not known if Hades is still a member of the group after he was defeated by Sora in Kingdom Hearts, but since Pete went looking for him in the Underworld, it can be assumed that he is still in contact with Maleficent.

In all Kingdom Hearts installments, the Final Fantasy character is used to defeat Hercules or Sora. In Kingdom Hearts and Chain of Memories a Cloud, in Kingdom Hearts II to Auron and in Birth by Sleep to Zack. Cloud was not faithful to him in the end, and Auron refused to follow his instructions.

There are several notable appearances by Hades.

In one episode of "Halloween With Hades", Hades had a crush on Maleficent. He turned to Mickey Mouse for advice after failing to woo Maleficent. Maleficent hates being nice, so Mickey tells Hades to be nice. When Maleficent finds out how cruel Mickey is to her, she decides to go out with him.

In House of Mouse, Pete causes the house's thermostat to crack and break, causing all the guests to leave, except for Hades, who likes the warmth. Since Mickey's contract states that the house stays open as long as the show goes on, he would have to close the house if there were no guests. A fast version of Night on Bald Mountain was one way Mickey tried to keep Hades down. "Hey! Hades loved it!".

It's the old act. I love this guy! Pete flooded the House, but The Little Mermaid characters were able to enter.

In the episode "House Ghosts", his blooper reel was shown on the big screen and he humiliated himself so much that he tortured his henchman Panico for no particular reason.

In Mickey's House of Villains, Hades is one of the main villains, but he is not involved in the initial scheming. During the final song of Mickey'sMagical Christmas: Snowed in the House of Mouse, Hades appeared alongside Jafar and Captain Hook.

In the Descendants: Wicked World episode "Pair of Slippers", a statue of Hades is found on the Isle of the Lost.

A 3D mammogram offers advantages in detecting breast cancer in people with dense breast tissue because the 3D image allows doctors to see beyond areas of density. Breast tissue is composed of milk glands, milk ducts and supportive tissue (dense breast tissue) and fatty tissue.
