Life has strange way of teaching lesson. I used to honest, arrogant, hardcore strict journalist and was working for a local news paper. I had written articles on gangsters, politicians, corrupt police officers. Received thousands of threats and nothing scared me. But this incident changed my life. I said it to a politician and till date I am regretting for it.

I am saying this almost about one and half decade back story. Those time cell phone was not there. People used to communicate using land line phones. I was newly joined another news paper. I had reputation then. That period of time a badly reputed goon who had plenty FIR cases against on him and was out on bail from jail, had got ticket from one of the political party.

I visited various places such as police station, court, jail to collect information about him. Somehow he got the information, and arrived at home with his gang. He threatened me about the consequences if I write about him. I was not scared, I threatened him back saying I am going to end his career as he is a goon and his sole purpose is to make money only. 

He stepped out of my house. On next day, I lost my job. Reason, I have been causing havoc around in the name of journalism. Then no other agencies hired me. In next couple of weeks, elections were over. He did not win the election. His gang members harrassed at various occasions. Then I shifted back to my hometown and started vegetable vending shop. I still regret I did not handled the situation wisely like other journalists do.
