If you use user input to evaluate the eval function in your code, you are giving an attacker the chance to insert malicious code. In that case, attackers could use the exec(command) statement to turn it into a Command Injection.

The Code Injection ends up becoming a Command Injection many times.

Three examples of how attackers use this vulnerability to attack a web application are presented.

Let's say you have a function in your application that allows you to view the contents of a file

The application uses the exec function to execute the command when the user enters the file name.

When a user posts malicious code, he uses special characters to chain commands, which causes a problem.

This character allows the execution of the second and third commands, due to a concatenation in a parameter controlled by the user, which is inside the exec function.
