It depends on the number of shares available to the new investor.How much equity.The amount of money the backers got in the sale is important.It's great news for first round investors.There was a $30 million pre-money valuation for the 16 million dollars invested by Spark Capital, Matrix Partners, and the Founders Fund last summer.A few months later, the Series B round was $75 million and had a $200 million pre-money mark.This was after the success of the Kickstarter campaign.
Buying equity is not the same as backing on the platform.Supporting the project is not the same as investing in the company.Buying shares in the maker of a product is not the same as pre-ordering it.
At the end of the day, it's not about investing, it's about donating.
