Sources tell News18 that the first intimation of the Maharashtra plan came to Guwahati on June 14, and the MLAs had “asked to look for a suitable place where they can stay”. Finally, on June 20, the plan got materialised with the rebel MLAs demanding that they want to stay in Kaziranga because they anticipated that ‘Shivsainiks’ may reach Guwahati.

It was assured to the rebels that Guwahati is a “safe place” and “nothing will happen” to them.

On June 21, it was reported that Eknath Shinde along with over 30 MLAs were on their way to Guwahati.

Although Guwahati is not known for any huge political upheaval, but the hill town got caught in the Maharashtra crisis amidst its grave flood situation. Assam was chosen so that no ‘Shivsainik’ could not reach there.

Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport became the central point where several charter flights carrying the MLAs landed. Sources say one charter flight was always on standby.

An airport officer told News18, “Every day one or two charter flight for the rebel camp became common from June 22. We have never seen such an activity.”

Not only this, the rebel MLAs were taken out of the VVIP security gate, which is only used by the Chief Minister.

As the rebel MLAs arrived in Guwahati, they were provided with special police cars.

On June 22, the MLAs stayed in Radisson Blu, where any chief minister arriving in the state usually stays or big programmes are organised.

The logistical support of bringing rebel MLAs from the airport to the hotel was provided by the Assam BJP indirectly. Interestingly, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma was seen leaving the hotel moments before the rebels arrived.

The hotel was fortified with policemen installed, and bookings for common man were unavailable. More than 70 rooms were booked to accommodate around 100 people were there. Apart from the airline staff, other guests were not allowed to check in the hotel.

A staff member at the hotel told News18, “This is the first time such an incident has happened. We have never faced anything like this before. Now, the challenge for us to see who enters Radisson, and those who have made the prior booking are allowed.”

The first video of the Shinde camp was released on June 21 in a show of strength from the hotel.

Interestingly, two ministers of the Assam cabinet were on duty inside the hotel. State housing and urban affairs minister Ashok Singhal use to stay in the hotel during the day, and Pijush Hazarika, Parliamentary affairs minister, would be on the night shift.

As the state reeled under floods, the ministers would visit the affected areas and also maintained their duty in the hotel. Senior police officials too were inside the hotel.

Opposition parties, including Congress and Trinamool Congress protested outside the hotel by brandishing “anti-Shinde” posters in Guwahati.

When Minister Hazarika was asked what he was doing in the hotel where the rebels were staying, he told News18, “I don’t know anything about this. I was told to help them to go to Kamakhya (temple) and I did that.”

According to sources, MLAs in the Shinde camp were a “little nervous” on the first two days of arriving in Guwahati, but when their strength crossed 37, and they became confident and started celebrating.

Overall, Shinde showed “high energy” and “cool temper” while conducting the whole operation in the last eight days, said sources.

One of the rebel MLAs said, “He (Shinde) was always there beside us. We are together (for the strength) that the strength he gave us.”

In fact, all the MLAs did visit the Kamakhya temple, and donated for the flood relief. According to sources, rebel MLAs had said now they will come to Assam for holidays too.

According to information obtained by CNN from an upcoming book, former President Donald Trump was paid in gold bullion that was brought into his Trump Tower apartment, which was surprising.

According to a report obtained by CNN, there are new revelations about Trump's dealings in the New York real estate world and beyond, from a veiled threat to a magazine owner preparing to report on his inflated net worth to an acknowledgment that his businesses had to interact with the mob.

Other Trump business practices are coming under renewed scrutiny after the New York attorney general filed a lawsuit against the ex-president, his children and the company.

Trump received some lease payments in cash, including when a tenant sent him a box of gold bricks to cover the cash portion of the building's parking lot lease.

Trump bought a GeneralMotors store in Manhattan.

Trump told aides he didn't know what to do with the gold bullion. He asked the director of operations for the Trump Organization to bring the bullion to his apartment. It is not clear what happened to the bricks.

Trump called it a matter of fantasy, and a lawyer for Calamari declined to comment.

The book "Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Break of America" is due out in October. It includes an examination of Trump's career in the New York business world, as well as his presidency and the aftermath of his 2020 loss to Joe Biden.

The New York-based reporter for CNN, who has worked for the city's two tabloid newspapers, has covered the 2016 and 2020 Trump campaigns. Times.

According to former officials, Trump's financial situation at his company was often more precarious than people realized.

At one point, Trump is said to have borrowed millions of dollars from George Ross. Ross acknowledged to the author that he lent Trump money, but insisted it was not for payroll expenses.

In an episode of the show, it was reported that Donald Trump threatened to go public with rumors that Malcolm Forbes, the late owner of Forbes magazine, was gay, when the magazine was preparing to report that Trump's net worth was much less than he publicly claimed.

Trump Organization officials were unaware of what was happening in other parts of the business, according to a report.

Trump was more involved than the company was letting on when it was reprimanded by the Securities and Exchange Commission for a misleading earnings statement, according to a report.

The Babylonian Map of the World (or Imago Mundi) is a Babylonian clay tablet written in the Akkadian language. Dated to no earlier than the 9th century BC (with a late 8th or 7th date being more likely), it includes a brief and partially lost textual description. The tablet describes the oldest known depiction of the known world. Ever since its discovery there have been a variety of divergent views on what it represents in general and about specific features in particular.[1]

The map is centered on the Euphrates, flowing from the north (top) to the south (bottom). The city of Babylon is shown on the Euphrates, in the northern half of the map. The mouth of the Euphrates is labelled "swamp" and "outflow". Susa, the capital of Elam, is shown to the south, Urartu to the northeast, and Habban, the capital of the Kassites is shown (incorrectly) to the northwest. Mesopotamia is surrounded by a circular "bitter river" or Ocean, and seven or eight "regions", depicted as triangular sections, are shown as lying beyond the Ocean. It has been suggested that the depiction of these "regions" as triangles might indicate that they were imagined as mountains.[2]

The tablet was excavated by Hormuzd Rassam at Sippar, Baghdad vilayet,[3] some 60 km north of Babylon on the east bank of the Euphrates River. It was acquired by the British Museum in 1882 (BM 92687);[3] the text was first translated in 1889.[4] The tablet is usually thought to have originated in Borsippa.[5] In 1995 a new join to the tablet was discovered, at the point of the upper-most nagu.[6]

The tablet consists of three parts: the world map, a text above the map, and a text on the back side of the tablet. It is not clear whether all three parts should be read as a single whole. Systematic differences between the texts suggest that the tablet may have been compiled from three separate documents.[7]

The map is circular with two outer defined circles. Cuneiform script labels all locations inside the circular map, as well as a few regions outside. The two outer circles represent water in between and is labelled as idmaratum "bitter river", the salt sea. Babylon north of center of the map; parallel lines at the bottom seem to represent the southern marshes, and a curved line coming from the north, northeast appear to represent the Zagros Mountains.[8]

There are seven small interior circles at the perimeter areas within the circle, and they appear to represent seven cities. Seven or eight triangular sections on the external circle (water perimeter) represent named "regions" (nagu). The description of five of them has survived.[3]

Carlo Zaccagnini has argued that the design of the Babylonian map of the world may have lived on in the T and O maps of the European Middle Ages.[10]

The text above the map[11] (11 lines) seems to describe part of the creation of the world by Marduk, the patron god of Babylon, who divided the primeval Ocean (the goddess Tiamat) and thus created Land and Sea. Of the Sea it says:

Next, on Land, a series of two mythical creatures ("the Anzu-bird, and scorpi[on-man]") and at least fifteen land animals are mentioned, "beasts which Marduk created on top of the res[tl]ess Sea" (i.e. on the land, visualized as a kind of giant raft floating in the Sea), among them mountain goat, gazelle, lion, wolf, monkey and female-monkey, ostrich, cat, and chameleon. With the exception of the cat, all these animals were typical of faraway lands.

The last two lines of the text refer to three legendary heroes: [U]tnapištim (the hero of the Flood), Sargon (ruler of Akkad), and Nur-[D]agan the King of Buršaḫa[nda] (opponent of Sargon).[12]

The back side[13] (29 lines) seems to be a description of (at least) eight nagu. After an introduction, possibly explaining how to identify the first nagu, the next seven nagu are each introduced by the clause "To the n-th region [nagu], where you travel 7 leagues" (the distance of 7 leagues seems to indicate the width of the Ocean, rather than the distance between subsequent nagu).[14]

A short description is given for each of the eight nagu. The descriptions of the first, second, and sixth nagu are too damaged to be read. The fifth nagu has the longest description but this text too is so damaged that it is quite uncomprehensible. The seventh nagu is more clear:

The third nagu may be a barren desert, impassable even for birds:

In the fourth nagu objects are found of remarkable dimensions:

The eighth nagu may refer to a supposed heavenly gate in the east where the Sun enters as it rises in the morning.

Concluding, the description then states that the map is a bird's eye description

The last two lines apparently recorded the name of the scribe who wrote the tablet:
