Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) died in tragic scenes in Coronation Street last week.

The young lad was horrifically attacked when out for a stroll with girlfriend Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) – who was also assaulted.

The doctors were hopeful that he would recover, but he took a turn for the worse in Friday’s edition (May 7) of the ITV soap, and ultimately passed away in upsetting scenes.

It was a shocking twist that fans did not see coming, and this week will see Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) seek justice on behalf of her beloved son.

Seb and girlfriend Nina were assaulted following a confrontation at the canal.

Seb was kicked repeatedly, but remained conscious long enough to call for an ambulance.

The young man never regained consciousness after being taken to hospital, and the doctors told Abi that they needed to perform further tests.

‘Sebastian failed the brain stem tests,’ the doctor later told Seb’s mum.

‘His brain is no longer sending messages to his body. We were increasing the amount of organ support for Seb, but I’m afraid it wasn’t working.

‘His body has shut down. There is nothing more we can do, and his heart has stopped.

‘I’m so very sorry. He has died.’

The attack on Seb and Nina was carried out by Corey Brent (Maximus Evans), his mate Eli, and several others lads in his gang.

Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) was also present.

Abi, heartbroken over Seb’s death, questioned Corey last week, and this week will see the mum on a mission to get justice for her son – telling Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) that she’ll stop at nothing, and will even find Seb’s attacker herself!

She quizzes Nina, who gets upset, as she admits that it’s all still a blur.
