Resistance exercises help the health of the heart, lungs, and circulatory system. They can delay or prevent diseases that are common in older adults, such as diabetes, colon and breast cancer, heart disease, and others.
There are physical activities that increase stamina.
Increasing your holding capacity will allow you to keep up with your grandsons when they go to the park, dance to your favorite songs at a family wedding, and pick up and bag dry leaves in the garden.
