Brandon "Bam" Margera, the former MTV "Jackass" and "Viva La Bam" star has turned himself in to authorities in Chester County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

"'Bam' Margera turned himself in this morning at PSP Avondale. He was fingerprinted and photographed before being arraigned at District Court 15-3-04, where his bail was set at $50,000 unsecured. The preliminary hearing is set for May 25 at the Chester County Court of Common Pleas," Pennsylvania State Trooper James Grothey tweeted.

Margera released the following statement on his Instagram shortly after turning himself in:

"I just got out of the courthouse with my lawyers. Everything went great and the false accusations of what my brother says are not true and he will be sued for defamation as well as being evicted from castle bam sooner than later. The reason this happened is because I read his phone saying he wants me back in California and he wants to find a way to 302 me. F*** him."

Note: A 302 is an involuntary admission to a psychiatric unit or community hospital.

Pennsylvania State Police had issued an arrest warrant for Margera, 43, on Monday.

Margera allegedly punched his brother in the face during a fight at their home in Pocopson Township.

Margera’s brother, Jesse Margera, told police that Bam Margera had pounded on and kicked his locked bedroom door, and punched him in the eye, nose and ear during a later confrontation in the kitchen, according to the Associated Press.

Police said Margera fled into a wooded area before troopers arrived. He had not been seen until this morning.

Margera is best known for his appearances in the MTV reality stunt show "Jackass" and his own spinoff shows, including "Viva La Bam" and "Bam's Unholy Union."

Over the years, Margera has struggled with alcoholism. In June of last year, TMZ revealed that he was reported missing after fleeing a rehab center.

In March of this year, TMZ reported that Margera was arrested twice, once for domestic violence and once for public intoxication.
