The Kusarigama is arguably the biggest game-changer in Ghost of Yotei's combat system! It's not just a new skin; it's a completely new philosophy. Instead of the focused, one-vs-one precision of the katana, the Kusarigama is all about Crowd Control and Disarmament. You use the sickle (kama) for quick, close-range strikes, but the chain and weight (fundo) allows you to sweep enemies' legs, interrupt multiple attackers simultaneously, and yank their shields or weapons right out of their hands. It shines in group combat where you're constantly being surrounded. It’s also the primary weapon for the new "Tangle Stance" which, frankly, makes fighting spearmen and heavily-armored foes a breeze because you can trip them up and leave them open to a finishing blow. It's fast, fluid, and adds a ton of verticality and reach that the katana lacks.
