Opening a joint account in SBI is a pretty simple process, but filling the form can look confusing if you are doing it for the first time. I recently went with my wife to open one. Here's what I observed step by step:1. Get the joint account opening form from the SBI branch.2. On the top portion, you’ll be asked for account type (Savings, Current, etc.). Tick the correct box.3. Both applicants have to fill personal details like name, father’s name, date of birth, PAN, Aadhaar, occupation, and address.4. The form has a section for mode of operation: - Either or Survivor (most common for couples) - Jointly (both must sign for every transaction) - Former or Survivor Tick whichever is appropriate.5. Paste passport size photos of both account holders and sign across them.6. Both applicants sign at the bottom where it says Signature of Applicant 1 and Signature of Applicant 2. Don’t worry if you make mistakes – staff at the branch will guide you.
