Safety first! Unplug your refrigerator before starting this process. I just changed mine last month and learned a few things:1. Locate the filter - Most LG models have it in the upper right corner of the fresh food compartment, but some are in the base grille2. Turn the old filter counterclockwise - It should release with about a quarter turn3. Remove the cap from your new filter and insert it4. Turn clockwise until it stops5. Run water through the dispenser for 3-5 minutes to clear air and activate the filterPro tip: Write the installation date on your new filter with a permanent marker so you remember when to change it next (usually every 6 months).
