I work in university IT. 90% of "how do I get my login" questions are from new students who haven't checked their official university email. That's the first place to look. The second is the student portal. Usually you get a separate email with your student portal login first and from there you can access the LMS or find your LMS credentials.

If you're enrolled in a corporate training program your HR or training coordinator is the point of contact. For online courses on platforms like Coursera or edX *you* create the username/password when you sign up; that's not an institutional LMS. If you're truly stuck a phone call to the registrar's office or help desk is the fastest solution. Have your student ID or employee number ready. They deal with this all the time.
