You'll need to connect to the network called 'Eduroam'. This is the standard for most universities. When it asks for your details, this is the important bit. Your username isn't just your student number. It has to be your full university email address, like 12345678@ukzn.ac.za.

Your password is the same one you use to log into your student portal or Moodle.
