A pivot table is for to see your big data in a simple way. Imagine you have many rows of sales. You want to know total sales for each city. A pivot table can do this very fast. You just drag the city and the sales. Then, pouf, you have your answer! It can sum, count, or find the average. It is very powerful and saves so much time. You do not need to write a complex formula.
