The Indian government has repeatedly claimed he is hiding in Karachi, Pakistan, under protection of the ISI (Pakistan’s intelligence agency). Pakistan denies this, of course. Over the years, there have been multiple "sightings," but none officially confirmed. As of now, his exact whereabouts remain uncertain.
