Fun fact: France actually spans 12 time zones worldwide because of its overseas territories, but mainland France uses CET. If you're calling someone there from India, remember they're usually 4.5 hours behind us (so if it's 5 PM here, it's 12:30 PM there in winter, or 1:30 PM in summer).
