Once or twice is okay, but if it becomes habit, it shows they don’t value your time. You can forgive, but also reduce effort from your side. Friendship should be balanced.

For me, breaks always made things worse. Instead of solving issues, they created insecurity. I believe talking and resolving is better than pausing love like a switch.
