In Palampur, farming is the main work. But about 25 percent of the people do other things.

Dairy is a very common activity. Many families have buffaloes. They sell the milk in a nearby big village called Raiganj.

Last, there is transport. Many people drive rickshaws, jeeps, or tractors. They connect Palampur to other places. So there are many small businesses, not just farming.
