We use the simple present tense for our daily habits and for facts. It is for actions that happen regularly or are always true.

For example, a habit is "I watch movies on weekends." A fact is "The Earth revolves around the Sun."

Also, we add ‘s’ or ‘es’ to the verb for he, she, or it. For example, "My brother plays the guitar." It is one of the most common tenses we use daily.
