We use the simple present tense for our daily habits and for facts. It is for actions that happen regularly or are always true.

For example, a habit is "I watch movies on weekends." A fact is "The Earth revolves around the Sun."

Also, we add β€˜s’ or β€˜es’ to the verb for he, she, or it. For example, "My brother plays the guitar." It is one of the most common tenses we use daily.
