In Monsters Inc, CDA is short for Child Detection Agency. They are like the emergency crew for monsters. If a kid from our world gets into Monstropolis, the CDA comes fast. They are the ones in big yellow suits. You see them a lot in the movie.

Their job is to clean up any kid stuff. If a sock or a toy touches a monster, it is a big problem. It is called contamination. The CDA then comes to sterilise everything. They use big tools to clean the area. They are very serious about their work. They want to keep monsters safe from human kids. Because in the movie, kids are thought to be toxic.

So CDA is just the agency that handles these emergencies. They are not the main characters. But they are important for the story. They show how scared monsters were of children before Sulley and Mike changed everything. That is what CDA stands for. It is a simple name for their job.
