Akbar's tomb is located in Sikandra. This place is a suburb of Agra city, in Uttar Pradesh. It is not very far from the main city. Actually, the great Mughal emperor Akbar himself selected the site and started building it. After he passed away, his son Jahangir completed the construction.

The monument is very beautiful. It is made from red sandstone and white marble. The main gate is huge and very impressive. Inside, the garden is very big and peaceful. You can also see many deers and monkeys roaming around freely there. If you are visiting Agra for the Taj Mahal, you should definitely take some time to see this tomb also. It is a really nice place.
