Super easy! I just did this yesterday. Here's the step-by-step:

  1. Make sure you have the latest WhatsApp version - older versions might not have this feature
  2. Open WhatsApp and go to the Chats tab
  3. Tap the three dots in the top right (Android) or the "Chats" header (iOS)
  4. Select "New group" but instead of creating one, look for "Join via QR code"
  5. Point your camera at the QR code - it should automatically scan and give you the option to join

Important notes: - The person sharing the QR code needs to have the group info open and tap "Invite via QR code" - QR codes expire after a certain time for security - You can only join groups this way if the admin has enabled QR code invites

If it's not working, make sure you've given WhatsApp camera permissions in your phone settings!
