This tutorial will take you through the several scenarios demonstrating BAM files in Genome Workbench. The BAM Format is a binary format for storing sequence data. The binary equivalent of a SAM file is a Binary Alignment Map (BAM) file, which stores the same data in a compressed binary representation. Each SAM and BAM file may optionally specify the version being used via the @ HD VN tag.
