The difference between means and values in other groups is smaller.The formula for variance consists of all the differences between unique pairs of values, squaring them, and dividing them by a denominator that I have forgotten.

I think it's easier for people who aren't statistics majors to describe it that way.

Are you talking about a variable?You need to define it if that is the case.The answer to your question is that what ever "F" is less than 1

It means that the function is less than 1.This is important when you are trying to solve a variable within a function.

F test is used to test hypotheses.F is between/ within.

The mean squares are derived by dividing the sum of the squares by degrees of freedom.

There's a chance that it's true.There are differences in mean values if F andlt; 1 accept Ho and 1 accept Ha.
