If your ticket is still RAC when the chart is prepared, you can still travel. That is good news! It means you are guaranteed a seat, but you might have to share it with another person. The ticket checker (TTE) on the train will show you your seat. Sometimes, if a confirmed passenger does not show up, the TTE can give you a full berth later. So, you can definitely get on the train with an RAC ticket.
