What is ajyad in makkah?

Ajyad is a major neighbourhood in Makkah, right on the southern side of the Grand Mosque. You honestly can't miss it. It's most famous for being home to the massive Abraj Al-Bait complex—that's the one with the giant clock tower you see in all the photos. The whole area is a bustling hub, packed with hotels, shops, and places to eat, making it super convenient for pilgrims. It’s also where the historic Ajyad Fortress once stood before the new towers were built. It's a really central spot, pretty much the heart of modern Makkah.
