Akshar (अक्षर, "imperishable," "unalterable"; also known as Brahman or Aksharbrahman) is second only in transcendence to Purushottam; it is eternally above the influences of maya. Akshar may refer to: Sanskrit alphabet · Akshar Purushottam Upasana, an interpretation of Swaminarayan; Brahman, called Akshar within Akshar Purushottam. भाषाविज्ञान में 'अक्षर' या शब्दांश ( अंग्रेज़ी: syllable सिलाबल) ध्वनियों की संगठित इकाई. The Akshar Deri is a major site of pilgrimage in the Swaminarayan Sampradaya and is located in the rang mandap of the BAPS Swaminarayan temple in Gondal. In order for us to offer genuine and pure bhakti to God we must become bramarup (realize ourselves to be atma and distinct from our body).
