Dhillon is a tribe of Jat people found among Sikhs of Punjab, India. Maharaja Hari Singh Dhillon, was a Dhillon Jat and a royal Sikh warriors of the 18th century, who succeeded the Bhangi Misl from Bhuma Singh Dhillon. Dhillons are mainly found among Jat Sikh Gotras but Jat Hindus also exist in Hissar, Jind, Sirsa & Kurukshetra districts. Dhillon (Punjabi: ਢਿਲੋਂ), is a large Jat clan found mainly in the north western and central regions of greater Indian Subcontinent including Haryana, Punjab,. Though most Jats are either Muslim or Hindu, those in the Punjab state are mainly Sikh (1).
