FJP is for Finger-Jointed Pine. It is real wood. But it is made from many small pieces of pine. They connect them with a special zig-zag cut and glue. This makes a long, straight board for moulding.

It is good because it costs less than one solid piece of wood. It is also very strong and does not warp or twist easily. Most FJP moulding you buy is already primed white. So it is ready for you to paint your final colour. It is very popular for baseboards and trim in houses here.

FJP stands for Finger-Jointed and Primed moulding. It’s made from small pieces of solid wood. These pieces are connected using strong, interlocking joints. This makes the moulding very straight and stable. It also comes pre-primed from the factory, making it ready for its final paint coat.
