What is lab technician?

A laboratory technician is a person who works in a laboratory performing procedures, maintaining equipment, assisting lead scientists with their work. Lab technicians are skilled workers that work with complex systems or perform highly technical mechanical or diagnostic tests in medical or scientific laboratories. A lab technician collects and processes specimens, including skin and bodily fluid samples, from patients in a hospital or private medical diagnostic laboratory.
