Structuring, also known as smurfing in banking jargon, is the practice of executing financial transactions such as making bank deposits in a specific pattern, calculated to avoid triggering financial. Smurfing is gaming slang for when a highly skilled or ranked person plays under an alternate fake against lower-level players. "Smurf" is a colloquial term for a money launderer, someone who deposits illegally gained money into bank accounts for under-the-radar transfer in the near future. In gaming culture, smurfing is defined as logging into a secret account seperate from a main account as to allow the user to play a game without being detected. Smurfing is when a highly-skilled player creates a secondary account as a disguise to play against less proficient opponents.
