All Gauge measurements throughout this website are American Wire Gauge (AWG). The most obvious difference is the standard of measurements. The main difference between SWG and AWG is where they originated from. British Standard Wire Gauge is a set of wire sizes given by BS 3737:1964 (now withdrawn), and is generally abbreviated to SWG.
