It depends what you want. Mission San Jose is very popular. The schools there are the best. It is also very expensive. I think Niles is very nice. It has a lovely, old town centre with a historic feel. If you need to commute, Warm Springs is good because it has the BART station. It is a big city with many different areas, so good to visit first and see what you like.
