What is the hindi meaning of quite?
1 answer(s)
Actually, there is no single Hindi word for 'quite'. The meaning changes depending on the sentence.
Most of the time, we use 'काफी' (kaafi). For example, if you say, "The weather is quite hot," in Hindi it is "Mausam kaafi garam hai." It means the weather is very hot, to a good degree.
But sometimes, it can also mean 'बिल्कुल' (bilkul), which means 'completely' or 'totally'. For example, in the question, "Are you quite sure?". Here, we would say, "Kya tum bilkul sure ho?". In this case, it means 100% sure.
So you should always check the sentence first. Basically, 'kaafi' is used for "fairly" and 'bilkul' is used for "completely".
